24 Gallon aquarium that is 36"L X 12.5"W X 13"H. Might be picking it up tommorrow for $20, looks new in the pics. Right now I have a 20 gallon that is 24"L X 12.5"W X 16"H approx. Considering swapping my fish into it, would my fish like this tank better (check signature)? I'm gonna be using the same equipment except a longer hood.

I've never came across a fish that hasn't been capable of going into a bigger tank. I wish I could get a bigger tank to increase the schools of my fish. I would increase some of your schools. You should setup both tanks, so you can have more fun with different kinds of fish. :19:

I wish but I cant aford the extra equipment right now. I want to know what you guys think about it and if it's worth the switch. I'd add flower pots, plants and rock caves to this new one.

It definitely won't hurt anything. Except maybe your wallet. The bigger tank will provide a little more stability to your water, and allow for more decor.

Edit: I would say if your tank is cycled, in good health, and no plans to add a lot more fish, save the 20 for bigger and better plans.

I think you and the fish will like the long tank. Its a lot more fun to aquascape that shape of tank in my opinion and your school of neons will love speeding across a 36" long tank.

I'm getting the tank tommorrow. I'm gonna pimp it out. I want to use sand this time instead of gravel, I like the sand look. What are the cons of using sand?

I'm getting a box of these flat rocks, How should I set some of these up in my tank? Centerpiece, Background, etc.

I also plan on cutting my driftwood in half so it doesn't take up so much space as it does in my 20g. I want to stand it up instead of having it laid out.

Well here's the tank I'm getting tommorrow

I want to build a nice tall stand for it with a cabinet at the bottom. Searching for ideas at the moment.
