Death of birchardi daffidil

Day one - swollen right eye , fish won't eat
Day two - round white spot appears below eye on cheek , fish won't eat
Day Three - White spot comes to a head like a zit , mouth opens due to swelling of cheek. Fish seems very sick.
Day Four - swell of eye goes down, mouth opens wide due to internal swelling in mouth. Zit goes down turn to round whie spot again
Day Five - Fish is dead leaving round circle of exposed flesh on cheek

Any ideas???

Maybe if you post the size tank it is and what all is in it (species and numbers of fish) someone can help. Maybe the water parameters too. Sorry about your loss:(
