installing marineland emperor media

okay..im really stuck...tired, but i want this tank to be set up for my mom...the directions for the marineland emperor bio-wheel filter say rinse the media and stick the blue side (holds the carbon) into the back...but the thing that holds the media wont shut..it just will not shut..what the hell am i doing wrong. i know its simple..i just am not in my right mind..ive been up since 4am and going nonstop.

There are a series of slots in the filter. The cartridges slide into those slots and you have to make sure you push it all the way to the bottom. The blue part simply faces the back of the filter. You want to place the cartridges in the from set of slots.

yeah i figured it out..the directions were somewhat vague, i was under the impression that you put the carbon into the cartridges somehow...and boy is it loud...almost woke the whole family up when i first started it.
