Two but only if they are a pair. And already stretching the limits as they require 20 gallons each......alone.

I'm going to be a party pooper and say none.... why? ... the tank is too low and will stunt the angelfish's fins... the tank is not big enough if you end up with an aggressive angelfish your other fish will suffer... pictus cats and angelfish together are a no-no - pictus cats are extremely hyper at night and bash into everything - they keep angels awake at night (all night) and it stresses them and lowers their immune system

I kept a mated pair in my 29 gallon but......they were not 7 inch angels, either. One was maybe 5 and the other 4 inches.

I'd say two would be the most you could put in, but only if they're a mated pari, or they'll most likely fight. Sorry if i missed it, but how tall is the tank?

I didn't see you had a pictus, definatly no angels then. Also, pictus are schooling fish, maybe you should get him some of his own kind.

hes got his limit with pictus as well.I had one in a 20 gal once a while back.He would have beat himself to death had I not found a better home for him.

I am going to get hollared at again.....:( I would say 2 in that tank, but what do I know. I have 4 in a 37gal.

Mine are doing really good, but my tank is also 2 feet tall. <shrugs> I have 2 adults, and 2 juveniles. Though my juvies are getting bigger.

yours are doing well for the exact reason that your tank is a tall.Angels need the flying room so to speak.

If I had your tank, and that was my only option, and I wanted angels that bad I may attempt to get 3 very young nickle sized angels and hope they paired off and just keep the pair with maybe a few bottom dwelling very small fish such as corys.I would not expect them to have long flowing fins like I see in the books,I would not expect them to reach there full potential and be 7-8 inches from top to bottom.

thanx and 1 more thing, if i had a few corys and 2 angels like you said, could i keep a pair of bollivian rams (they are both adults and i would expect they would die b4 the angels got 4 or 5 inches from top to bottom)

thanx for all ur help,
alex

I say none..... Not a pair definetely.. If one wants to spawn and the other not the latter needs some room to run.... I'd go bigger if possible.....Plus they will rip the tank up if paired off and ready to mate...
