blue snail becoming inactive?

i have 2 snails in my 20gal. a pink colored ivory snail and a blue color ivory snail.
the pink one is fine and he is active, but for the last week or so the blue one has remained inactive. i did have an ammonia spike last week when i got a new filter but that has since settled down and stabilized.
could that be whats wrong with my snail?

i dono hes small bout the size of a penny, the pink ones huge the size of $.50 piece.

do you have a heater? snails get sluggish if the temperature is too cold

yah its 78-79*

when i mean inactive i mean he doesn't move for a couple of days then one morning hes on the other side of the tank. then dormant for a couple of days then moves again
