I Have Just Introduced 2 Tinfoil Barbs Into My Tank--bought From A Large Reputable Tropical Fish Shop --they Looked Fine When I Purchases Them---unfortunately A Few Hours After Being Introduced Into My Tank They Seem To Have Developed A Skin Condition--( The Other Fish That I Have Are Ok)---they Seem To Be Losing Scales And Have Become Fuzzy Around Face . Body And Fins--also Eyes Are A Bit Cloudy-- CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT MY PROBLEM IS !!!

Put them in a separate tank (your hospital tank) and get pimafix. What size tank are they in? Did you cycle? What are the ammonia, nitrite, nitrate levels?

Sounds like fungus. Agreed also that we need more information. You do realize that tinfoils get quite large?

It sounds to me as if they have fin and tail rot,start them up with melafix,follow the instructions.If you are using carbon in your filter you will need to remove it.After treating for a week,do a water change and put carbon back in your filter to remove the med.Good luck with your problem.
