I lost a tiger from old age yesterday,he is 1 of the original 6 I bought 4 years ago,I have 3 left the other ones were killed by me accidentally while I was learning. These little buggers sure are a hardy lot.The rest of them are showing there age as well. What a cool fish they are.

I'm sorry for the loss of your fish, but that's awesome you've had them for such a long time! Must be doing something right! :c12:

Congrats on keeping the fish for so long. I always think its cool when someone is able to keep a fish for a very long time. You get to "grow old" with them, so to speak. Learn their behaviors, what they like, don't like. How they respond to you, etc.

I am sorry that it has passed away. Though I must say, it probably had a very long and happy life with you!

Sorry for the loss! Tiger barbs were one of my beginning fish too! They are all gone now from problems i had about 3 years ago. RIP tigerbarbs

Another update on my tiger clan.the liplocking has ended and the results are in,there is a victor and he now owns the center of the tank and the losers now live directly under the outlet of my HOB.He will not let them come out.

That is sad. I am sorry about your barb i know how attached you can get to them. I used to have a tiger barb that i used to feed flies. Was so attached to him sigh

Tigers are reall one of the coolest aquarium fish you can have. They have huge personality in a little fish. The way they just haphazardly float around on there nose amuses me.

I moved the old fellas from there old tank to the 58gal planted,I did so with great trepidation due tot there aggressiveness and the difficulty's that would arise if I ever had to catch them because of it.They were doing horrible in the old tank all by themselves and they were going downhill fast. They are doing wonderful in te 58 and they have never looked better. Here are some pics.
