Those are actually their "Soldiers of the Future" running field excercises. I think I've seen something about this on Future Weapons on Discovery...

I guess its not a terrible thing. We feed cattle magnets so that if they eat anything like nails or such that the magnet collects the medals instead of it passing through the intestines and hurting them... but still....
it's ok, i thought the video was cool too until i found out what the trick is
