My terrible, terrible dream... *cries*

I had a terribly sad dream last nite!!! My little 3yr old brother fell into a really deep pool and I dived in after him ;( He sunk to the bottom and I tried to get to him, but the pool was way to deep! He stuck his little arms up in the water and had the saddest, most desperate little look on his face and I couldn't reach him *Cries* Honestly, I can't stop thinking of it! I know it was a dream but its affected me very muchly today

I had a terrible dream as a kid. that I remember to this day.

Both my parents were killed in a car accident, the wreck was on our front lawn, it felt so real, I had to look out the front door when I woke up, the car was there, but intact thank god, and both Mum and Dad was ok.

They went on to live many years after that, I have never forgotten that terrible dream though.

I just cannot forget how his little arms reached up and I was trying with everything I had to reach him and couldn't. When I woke up, I gave him a huge cuddle dispite his winging as he was still fast asleep :)

Thats definitely a sad dream. I'm lucky, or unlucky depending on who you are, in the fact that I hardly ever remember my dreams. Probably averages out 1 dream every two months. I would say never let your brother get too far away from you.

I sort of know how you feel, when I was 11 years old I had a 2 year old brother drown in my pool.

And I'm really sorry about what happened YaYa... I dunno what I would ever do.

I was at college (Pitt) awhile ago, I was studying late in the anatomy lab for an exam the next day. I got a call from my dad, but I didn't answer since I was studying. Well, as I was walking back to my apt, i check my voice-mail. Apparently my brother fell asleep while driving and rolled his Jeep down a hill... He turned out ok, but got a bunch of cuts, scratches and bruses. Thank god!

I remember only 1 dream that I've had. It was from when I was a kid (maybe 8 or 9). I dreamt that my house caught fire. I ran to the bottom of the steps to go get my mom, but there were some king of monsters at the top of the steps. They were real wavy, kinda like looking at blacktop in the middle of the day when it's really sunny. They made this aweful screaching noise also. I dunno why I'll always remember this dream, but it's the one that's been with me the past 15 years... To this day I think a burning house is one of the spookiest looking things in the world. ::shudder::

i hate mine like that, because they all turn out for real.

when i had rabbits and other small animals, i had a dream they all died, 5 months later when i boarded them at a store when i went away for a few weeks they all died after except for 2.

I got my first motorcycle young, and before i got it i had a dream that i got one, even though my parents said i couldnt get one til i was 18. sure enough when i was 14 i got one.

I have this same recurring dream everytime I get sick. There's like tetris blocks falling and Im running away from them. Something like that. No idea why, but it scares the heck out of me.

Sorry to here about your dream. I had a dream that I got shot and everything slowly went black, my friend had a dream that he got shot also but everything for him went white, IDK what that means but I dont think its good for me.

In every one of my dreams that Im running away from something I cant run IDK why but I just cant do it, Im trying to sooo hard but ii barly move I just keep trying to run away from whatever It is and Im just basicly in slow motion.

the first one i had with me dying was i tried to do a backflip on a bmx but landed weird and died, the second was i fell and my neck got snapped & screwed up and i couldnt move, so i snapped it all the way to kill myself, put the 2 together and i die doing a backflip snapping my neck

a dream like that is most likely out of sub conscious GUILT. are you not spending enough time with your little brother???

do you ignore him? does he bug you? are there times you wish he would leave you alone?

dreams are usually a manifestation of fears and worries and unresolved emotions or problems in our self conscience. the brain uses this as a way of "free firing" the emotions when we are asleep.

this was a wake up call to you that if something really happened to the little guy you would be devastated. take some time to spend a little quality time with him and clear your conscience.

i had a bad dream that i woke up one morning and PUMPKIN our big orange cat was sitting in the bottom of the aquarium, still and basically drowned.

he had been jumping on top of the new aquariums and we realized we probably had to put tops on them and hadn't. my sub conscience worried that something would happen to the cat and or the fish, so it manifested in that dream to kick us in the but to DO SOMETHING about it.

everything is safe now...

I had a bad dream about 1 year ago.

I was about to go camping then my dad said we couldnt because a witch took a piece of our truck. So i went to the witches house and got it hen she caught me and tore off my fingers and put me in an oven. Then i woke up.

Some dreams are weird. Some are sad! Some are creepy. Some are fun!

i'm gonna go out on a limb here and speculate.....

i believe there is some thing in your life that bothers you deep down and you havn't dealt with it. usually you just push it away, maybe so much that you've even forgotten about it most of the time.

this recurring theme in your dream suggests that somewhere your mind you try escape the reality of your disappointment, but until you face it, you CANT.

it could be something as silly as like, guilt for never having finished college or some big life task like that. maybe your circumstances now, wouldn't allow you to finish, hence the INABILITY to run or escape in your dream.

what you need to do is look deep into your life and try to identify and recognize this big thing that bothers you deep inside. first identify it, then let go of the fact that you can't go back and fix it the way you wish you would have. then RESOLVE to BE HAPPY with where you are right now and the satisfied with the choices you made and resolve to move foward making the best choices you can.

LET IT GO and move on.

that would be my best guess at that recurring dream and how to get rid of it.

just FYI, i sometimes have a recurring dream that i'm sent back to highshool and that all my life is deemed invalid, because i never "finished" highschool. at this dream school, i'm lost, and confused and not successful.

this dream is result of sometimes insecurities with my place in life and validity of my accomplishments. sometimes i have to face that fact and deal with it and get my confidence back and the dream goes away.

Wow, thats really freaky! I guess he does bug me quite a bit.. hes in the terrible toddler age lol, but if this dream HAD been real, I would be much more the devastated :) Thankfully I haven't had a dream like that again =)

another one i had was someone stole my $1000 bmx, and chop shopped it. i figured it was BS
4 months later, sure enough someone broke in and jacked it, the police never found any parts or anything about it

another one was the whole world suddenly went into war, and everyone got a gun. i got a AK-47.

another weird one was i was in WW2, in a troop carrier truck kinda, and a shell hit us or something and the truck flipped and i got thrown out of the passenger window, but lived
