I finnaily got my 29 gallon tank up and running and im moving my irridecent sharks and buying a oscar for it! Which oscar should i get???

They have a zebra oscar on liveaquaria.com. Not sure if you would want to order off the net, but i think it would be an awesome fish to have. My second choice would definitly be a tiger oscar

Glad you are happy about your 29 gal tank....I personally think mine is a great size for a nice selection of fish. I have to wonder though how long you plan on keeping an oscar in it? Ours are only 8 months old (plus however old they were when we got them at about 2 inches) and I can't see either of them being too happy in my 29 gal for long, they have grown quite a bit since we first got them.

Like your guys kimmers, i bought mine at about two inches and within two motnhs, he is like 4 inches, he just grows so fast. Definitely starting to fill up his 55gal.

Yea i love my tiger. He is starting now to develop some great color.

my tiger oscar has gone a weird colour
she use to be fully black with only a few orange spots on her and the orange ey on her tail but now her under belly and a bit of her sides are chaning colour

besides i spose depending one the foods your oscars determins there growth rate in my opion, i fed my current Avatar oscar Finn live food as a juvi and he grew extremly wuick so did my old Pink oscar chopper, as for my red tiger he was fed prepared foods and hasnt grown nearly as quickly, my friends oscars are growing slowly aswell and he fed them prepared food to

my tiger Oscar used to have almost no Orange on him, but he is getting a lot more now i think the brine shrimp he gets might help the color as well... i guess he is at the age where he matures alot. About 5 inches??
