I decided to tear apart my marineland c-series canister filter tonight to give it a good cleaning. UGH!!! I will never buy one of these again. ITs suck a pain in the butt. First of all there are four seperate compartments in the canister which all have a tube running through them with an o-ring type of contraption on them. If you dont have it fitted perfectly togeather once you put it in the canister its hard to fit them together right. The worst part about it is the filter baskets create their own seperate compartment within the canister itself. The bottom of the bottom basket doesnot allow water to go through it so when you take it out, and then try to put it back in you have water pouring out of the sides of your canister. then all of the baskets fall apart and stuff gets inbetween the orings and it doesnt seal right. water was going all over the place i was cussing and the worst part is now I have it back togeather and its not working!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish I could just throw the dang thing away. When I bought it I figured I would try it out since it was farly new. Man im paying for it now. What a Night.
