Aloha everyone from Maui!

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about Box Jellyfish (sea wasp) mating and reproduction. I'm doing a small study on them and would like to find more info on that part of their lifecycle.

I look forward to any replies.:help:

All jellyfish reproduce in a similar way.

As the Stormwater Coordinator for the State of California, Dept. of Transportation in San Diego, I am doing a presentation on the effects of Stormwater runoff pollution and our coastline. Just recently, I saw a program on the National Geographics channel about the Box Jellyfish. The reference was that certain triggers such as pollution would cause the jellyfish to prematurely discharge and fertilize large quantities of eggs. This program also displayed a global map showing concentrations of river pollution of which the Tijuana River was one and made reference to potential inhabitants by the Box Jellyfish. Can you elaborate on the affects of this premature release of jellyfish eggs as a result of exposure to contamination? Thank you for any assistance, Jim.

That thread is 9 months. The person who asked the question is long gone.
