Looking to add another school of Tetra's. I currently have 7 neons, should I expand ther school? I'd like to add another school of a different Tetra which wouldn't come in conflict with the others ( such as nipping). What has worked for you?

I do have one small school of neons 5, that happily live with a school of glo-lite. They previously were together with white skirt tetras. No problems at all.

I think that as long you do not mix them with vampire tetras you can put any small to medium size tetra with them.

I would suggest getting a bigger group of neons. Thats just my oppinion though I think one large group of one kind of fish looks better then 2 medium sized groups. they show more color and school better too.

I have Rummynose and Lemon Tetras in with my Neons. The Rummynose are wonderful little fish that look great in a small or large school.

More neons! The bigger the school the better.

i would not recommend either red eyes or colombian's both mine are nippy and there in groups of 5 or 6

i would get a mate for your German ram and get another 5 or 6 neons

So I decided to add more neons for now and I'm still looking for another German Blue Ram. Neons are great to watch, especially during feeding time. They trip me out lol

I agree on the rummynose. They are beautiful. The Neons are really cool too.

I absolutely love neon tetras (although my pic is a cardinal) they are hardy and so cool to watch and one of the first to impress any visitors (provided you have many of them)

My Tetra's are in a bigger tank now, can you tell theres 12 their? Me neither so I want to add more neons and an equal school of black neons maybe? What do you guys think about that? I know previously half of you said a different specie and the other half of you said a bigger school of Neons.
