Problem is I think in a community tank you have many favourite fish, I like cories too, but when "sharky" ( labeo fretanus ) comes out, he captures the show, add to that a 20cm Gibby, and 2 botias it's hard to say what favourite all of the time...

I think everyone secretly like neons/cardinals though....

My dwarf puffers would be the favorite. They are as cute as can be!

My favorite are gouramis...any kind of gourami. I have a golden and a flame. My golden is the most laid back fish in my tank. He just swims by himself and minds his own business. My flame on the other hand likes to pick on the new additions.

I love Mrs. Paul's. She has my favorite fish...fish sticks.

I like Hoki the best. LOL

Actually to the OP, I like my angels and my silver dollars the best so far.

I recently added some three-lined corys to my tank. They are wonderful fish! They just swim all over the tank at all levels checking stuff out.

Upon closer inspection, though, one of them has different coloration on it's head. None of the spots are connected and are very distinctive spots, so I've come to the conclusiong that I got extremely lucky and landed a true julii! :D

discus here. or the malawi eye biter. although the latter really has no place in a home aquarium.
