I looked at my tank (while playing guitar hero) and I saw one of my sterbai corys twirling and flipping round, whats going on? Right now hes just stitting on the gravel and looks like hes resting on his side. The four corys have been staying inside a stump decoration all day. My tetras are doing great.

Do you think it could be because of the build up of the old food? Should I do a vacume and water change and see how that goes? thanks!

and well i dont have a master test kit yet, i only have ph and nitrates...

A water change and a good gravel vac won't hurt any.

How old is the tank? Cycled? Anything wierd happen lately?

I'd definatly get test kits for ammonia and nitrites, most of the time they're the culprits when things go squirrely.

I've had this tank going for a long time. My corys just came to the tank last week, but they were doing really good the few days after being in there, now, within 2-3 day, it just seems like thier much lazier

Do you have your tv in direct view of your tank? I herd that fish can get freaked out by the funky light games give out!

omg, the tank was horrible. i just did a change last week, but its the food we just got for them. I will never put it in my tank again. I was iffy on it when i put it in, as soon as it hit water it was dissolving. There was soo much left over food in the tank! Since I've gotten them last week, Ive only put in 4-5 pellets. It says on the bottle feed 1-2 times daily, but I knew not to do that. From now on I will only put in 1 at a time, maybe twice a week.

I dont think the one cory is going to make it, but I'll cross my fingers on the other ones. I will get a different find of food for sure. I am so upset! The tetras are doing great though, we'll see what happens

If you can find then, Hikari Algae Wafers are really good. They have a variety of ingredients in them, hold together in the water and our fish seem to love them (though we don't have cories ... ).

The shrimp pellets? Wardley? Yea they desolve like crazy but my corys love them and eat them as soon as they hit the water and so does my crayfish.

Get the Hikari sinking wafers, they are much better than the algae wafers (since cories do not eat algae). The sinking wafers have a little pic of a cory on the packaging, so that's an easy way to identifty it. The sinking wafers are made specially for cories and they can be fed only on that. I put in 1 pellet for every 2 cories twice a day.
