I'd say. That's pearling! That means they are photosynthesizing to their max capability.

Cool!! Thats in my betta tank, I couldn't get a picture of it in my planted tank as the lights are to strong and there is so much of it. Pretty cool, reminds me of CAF's tank.

I just added extra liquid fert. because I was so excited about it. I hope I didn't mess up. I figure the worst that could happen would me getting a little algae which I don't really mind to much.

Thats Anacharis I think. Most of my plants are doing it though in my planted tank. Anacharis (?) is all that is in my betta tank though and thats where the pic is from.

Well there are two. It is a 10g that is split. They both run up to great me when I come in. The weird part is neither flares at each other through the divider until I added that female for pictures.

That is about as picture perfect as you can get Kuhli! Way to go. That type of pearling only comes when you have met all criteria in plant growth. co2, fertalizer, or a rich mature substrate, and plenty of light in the right spectrum.

At that rate, you could easily get 120% oxygen in the water, and you can't ask for anything better. :19: :19:

I did not see anybody say what the bubbles were. It is the waste from the plants.........OXYGEN!!! Intake co2 put out Oxygen. When you see it Means photosynthesis is kicking ass and taking names !!! Well done you have a well balance of light minerals and co2!!

Well done!

I have no fert, co2 or good lighting so my plants only produce waste when i do water changes... i cant wait to get lights,co2 ect...

Cool isn't it, to see biology working like that.

My hygrophila started doing that last week when I upgrade the lights and I was "Yeah!" More blind luck than anything ... but hey, can't complain right?
