I tried posting yesterday and couldn't???

Anyway, how's the temperment of the demasoni so far? I hear they can be a terror???

I think they are quite the looker though. I was thinking of getting a school of them someday. He's a beauty!

Is that really a demasoni? The colours dont look powerful enough but then I dont have enough experience to say really. I'll try and get a photo of mine tonight if he ever comes out of the rocks...

Beautiful fish! Just out of curiosity, what size tank is the dem. in and what other fish are in with him? I think I recognise some of the fish in those pics.

I don't like to bring bad news but 30g. is awful small for malawi chichlids. I'm not sure what all you have but in the pics I can see what might be a demasoni (the blue striped one,I'm not 100% sure that's what it is though), some peacocks, and a auratus(yellow with black and white stripes that's either a female or hasn't turned to the brownish male coloration yet). They might get along ok now but probably won't long term. Demasoni and auratus can get really mean and are way to aggressive to be kept with peacocks. When the peacocks start getting picked on they will probably loose their pretty color. Just because they are all classified as malawi doesn't mean they can be kept together successfully:( . Great looking fish though.

I have been told this before and I will answer it the same way as I have always. I was on the verge of stopping on keeping fish. I decided the best way to keep me in it is to try everything weird and do what people say you can't and have been successful so far at it. I do not like being told what will happen and such because all fish are different. Sorry if I am rude but believe me, I know that this may end up nasty but I have the ability to take care of it if it does. Right now they are fine and come up to great me every time.

Cool beans then Kuli. I was only offering advice that has been offered to me. I guess it's not news to you though, sorry. I didn't jump when I heard my tank wouldn't make it either because the fish were young and sure didn't seem to have any problem with their tank mates. I'm working on getting another tank running now because some of my fish are maturing and I'm starting to see some aggression. Nothing really bad yet but I'm thinking "they" (people with more experience than me) might be right. I'm sorry if I offended you. No offence was intended. Fishy friends?
