Just wondering whether anyone has tried out the software to get free satellite tv on your computer? I saw it advertised in the local newspaper last week, and it's listed by about a half-dozen or more sellers on e-bay, anywhere from $1-6 for an "instant download". It sounds somewhat interesting, but what good is watching tv programs from around the world in dozens of different languages you can't understand?

Careful of the ebay downloads. I tried one of those and found that there was pirated commercial software in the zip file. I got my money back from paypal and ebay removed the listing. Also, if you don't mind watching mostly foreign TV at a low bitrate then go for it.

probably too good to be true, the adapters to get local channels on computers are $60 so i wouldnt trust it
I think goldbarb is right, might be a scam/pirating

Its not a scam.
However, you get what you pay for. If you spend $1, expect to get $1 worth of clarity.

Ive found out that you cant get anything for free. If its free there is usually something wrong with it that makes you end up not liking it.
