Problem with Connecting Tanks

I have the tubing and pump. I working on the setup in my bathtub. I can't get even flow rates between the pump (going against gravity) and the tube siphon that is going with gravity. Any suggestions to get rates the same?

Are you trying a straight siphon without an overflow of any kind? If so then you are never going to match the flowrates, it's a losing battle to try to do so.

How does an overflow much flowrates? No one has ever really answered that for me.

Edit: Anybody know a website with a instructions on how to build cheap and simple overflow box?

Answered this in the PM as you know but for the benefit of anyone else reading it I'll answer here as well. The water being returned to the tank from the sump will still flow into the box at the same rate it reenters the tank. The siphon rate is equal to that of the rate of return to the overflow box. The water will only overflow and siphon up to a max rate.
