I went to a friends house last night to hang out and I ended up having to stay at his house overnight. then the next day their driveway was just one giant snow drift so I stayed there untill midafter noon and I shoveled my way through it. It took me forever to drive home and then I couldnt pull into my driveway becuase it was 2 big drifts. So I had to shovel my way again so I could pull into my garage. At least I made it home but its nasty out.

Hmm, better don my coat and go outside and take a look at my driveway....Oh wait..I forgot, I live in sunny warm florida :P Sorry. I know what that was like, cuz I use to live in Wisconsin. Man, drifts all the way up past the windows. We had to put in snow fences to divert the drifts. It worked nicely, but still had to break out a shovel and the snowblower periodically.

Nautilus,
I remember city snow blowers clearing the roads and dumping huge piles of snow in peoples' front yard when I lived in Montreal. Those big drifts were great when you were a kid :)

We're going to a friends house tonight ... and the same storm is hitting us. Good thing we get along ...

By the way Dave ... we're in Quebec City ... with 12ft of snow ... bring back any memories?

Sasquatch,
Of course. I was born in Montreal, and remember playing in the snow 'til I was blue. When my family moved to NC Arkansas, it was just like the snow at home. Had 28 inches of snow our first day in the Ozarks.

Well, we made it back alive ... barely.

OK, I'm exagerating ... barely.

We ended up walking back to our place, our friend couldn't get her car out of the parking lot. Fourty to fifty minutes walking in the worst storm we've had this year. Gusts up to 100kph (no joke!), snow scouring your face, the whole shebang.

The whole city is basically shut down. I spent 3 hours shoveling this morning. The buses aren't working, can't get them out of the garage there's so much snow in the parking lot!

And guess what ... It's started snowing again! They're calling for another 20cm (8") by tonight.

I love snow, my girlfriend too ... but we have our limits ...

I'm glad most of the mess is over here in Maryland... It should stay warm enough now for no more snow to lay on the ground...

What's up with OHIO. It is getting nailed. Here we are so much further N and have sun for 3 days now (oh wow, huh?) and no new snow all week.

I have decided that Ohio is being punished because they voted for Hillary. haha

lol hobbs thats a good one. We must be getting punished because storms hit all over ohio from cincinatti all the way up to toledo. and it wasnt just one storm it was 2 or 3 storms. Not to mention we just got hit last week too with ice and then 5 or so inches of snow.
