So I got my water pump today. Only took them 2 days to ship to Indiana from California, I'm impressed. I just need to head to Ft. Wayne to get some tubing, but with it snowing and all, I don't really want to go. Here are some pictures of it. I know it isn't the mos reliable pump, but I'm on a budget. I have a question about the item in the third picture. Does anybody know what the tubing does? I have no idea what it does, no form of instruction manual. Thanks for the info.

It looks like it regulates flow with the end valve.. you can open it up to reduce flow or close it for maximum flow.

That tubing is in case you wnat to use it to run a skimmer or run it as a powerhead. It attaches tot he pump and hauls air in and injects it into the water stream.

Travie, I can understand the budget thing as well, I actaully hunted Ebay for my stuff when I set up my reef tank. I picked up a great pump for about $50. It was an Ocean Runner 6500 by Aquamedic.

1st suggestion looking at the third picture it looks like an air tube, the black bit at the top looks like a valve so your water pressure is how you want it,would that sound right to you? congrats on pump,:11:

I'm guessing, I don't need to use for whichever use it has. I'm just going to be moving water from one tank to the other.

Then you have no need for it. :)
