Haha, I had frost on my winshield this morning. Ridiculous. Its STILL freezing outside, and I have to help my brother move a bunch of junk tomorrow.

I guess its my fault for being the ONE person in the family who owns a truck.

Moving furniture and having to wear a big clumsy coat arent good combinations.

Hobbsy,
A balmy 28 here now, and about four inches of snow on the ground with more coming down. The cats, Emily and I have been having a ball in the snow :) TG I work at home. Fire places are blazing, hot chocolate for the two-legged animals, and cozy as can be.

Topped 73 here yesterday. :) Ok, I'll run and hide now before I get hit with snowballs. LOL

Big blobs of ice, maybe. Gez, 14 below is a bit much, you think?

I'd have to agree, that is slightly rediculous.

So its snowing here. Almost blizzard like if the wind would be stronger. I just want spring and warm weather. I'm tired of cold.

Both last month and this one have had some days when the temps were in the 50's-60's, though it turned colder soon after. I don't expect an unbroken warming trend quite yet, but spring is definitely coming. The backyard pond has thawed out after being frozen over several inches thick for weeks. The water's nice and clear, the algae bloom hasn't begun yet. I'm waiting to see if the Najas survuved the winter. I tossed a few sprigs in last summer, and they grew into a good clump. It's still there, though whether it's dead or just dormant remains to be seen.

BTW, welcome back Lady Hobbs.

We received an inch of sleet and 4" of snow so far, the Wife will be late to work this morning. No matter which direction I go there is a steep hill with sharp curves to go down.
She has been begging for snow so I think I'll get her outside and roll her around in it:hmm3grin2orange:

We are copping the oposate here, usually cooling down a little by now, but the past week has been stinking hot.

Well, you ARE in Michigan! ITs very march here in the DC area. Lots of fairly violent weather, and temp extreams. 74 on monday, 72 on tuesday. Major storms coming through Tuesday night. 4th highest ever wind gust recorded at National Airport, and strongest for the month of march ever at hurricane force, 74MPH. Everything is a month early this year. The trees here will leaf out by the end of the month. The daffodils have been blooming for 2 weeks now. The crocus and chinodoxa (glory of the s now) are just about finished blooming, and we have had tree pollen counts for almost 2 weeks now going back to the last week in Feb. I think we went below freezing maybe 10 times all winter, and once again had very very little in the way of snow/ ice. It just doesnt snow here like it used to 10 years or more ago. I have plenty of outdoor plants that used to die every winter, that now make it through the winter and continue to grow again in the spring. It helps were east of the mountains too though. that really does act as a buffer from all the bitter cold and much of the snow that comes down from the NW direction. I dont consider the mid atlantic the south, but when it comes down to it, there are palm trees and spanish moss down in southeastern VA (Va Beach, Norfolk, Hampton, Newport News, Suffolk, Williamsburg) so the "south" is alot closer in reality than it seems.

I'm waiting for the cooler weather to start Hobbs! Been in the 90's here last week or so, with more on the way, and no rain in sight! I think we should go halves, I certainly don't want -14, but I don't think you'd like 95 straight up either! LOL

It's not unusual for March to be pretty horrid here but this year with winter starting so early and so hard right off the get-go, I had really hoped it would leave us a bit sooner this year. When it's over, it's over and will end just as fast as it started. Just hard being patience now with being cooped up so long already.

We get our heaviest snows in March, but I don't like it when the flowers are coming up only to get buried in white stuff
Wife had agreed to work today and we couldn't get out, there goes the $100 bonus

Looks like you've got a ways to go there! You are WAY up there where it gets COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD! BRRRRRRRRRRRR! :c10:

This week has been kinda crazy. Mon/Tues 74/72 for highs, BIG thuderstorms with a wind gust recorded at the airport of 75MPH, thats HURRICANE strength. Lots of trees down and a few buildings damaged. Thurs was clam sunny, 50's Friday the next big storm came, poured rain over 1", 50s. Yesterday (saturday) was supposed to be a complete wash, with temps in the low 40's but it turned out to be very changing with lots of sunshine in between the showers, and it was 65 for most of the day! Late afternoon, more 65+ MPH winds came through downing more trees and power lines, and by 9pm it was below 32. YUK! And all the trees here are in full bud, and some have small leaves, and the cherries and wild pear's are in bloom too. Man I cant wait for srping in ERNEST!
