I've had a male and a female guppy in the tank together since February 12th... I figure I should be expecting little ones any day now... Would that be accurate?

I'm surprised that you haven't had them already. I would imagine very shortly. Bear in mind, that once she is impregnated, you could take the male out of the tank, and she will continue to produce babies for at least 6 more broods.

If you have larger fish in your tank, they may get eaten, so provide some cover for the fry. Java moss works well for that.

I guess it's possible that she had some. I don't know. They may have been eaten by the danios or even her or the other guppy.

Danios would look after them sufficently for you, do you have any cover, Java moss, or even water sprite, they will hide in there. Also you will be able to tell if she is pregant, she will get very big and her gravid spot will become very dark, when she is about to deliver she will quite likely stop eating and her gravid spot, the part near her bottom will square of and her vent will open. You might see her laying near the bottom or hiding behind a plant. In my experience they often have them early morning or late evening. Good luck I hope this helps.

Looks like I do have fry! I moved one of my plastic plants to remove some shrimp molting. Voila! There were two free baby guppies in there. Freaked me the heck out! LOL I crushed up some flakes and dropped them in. Hopefully they will be able to get it.

I think I may only have one left now. My girlfriend says she only sees one and that's all I've seen since last night. I'm going to check again when I get home. I got a small aquatic gardens plastic aquarium for free from Petco. So I'll put it in there for now.

Well, I managed to get two of them out of the tank and into this little temp tank. Then I found the third one. I'm going to let it stay in there. I don't know if it's going to make it, but I've dropped some "first bites" and egg yolk into the tank close to where I saw it. Hopefully it'll get to eat.
