I just saw one today at my LFS in a display tank with other fish.I l had no idea you could get one until today.
Just out of curiosity what invertebrates do you guys have ? I am interested in one day setting up a tank that has creatures in at other than fish.I was thinking about lobsters, crabs, star fish and urchins.

I have a ray, but it's FW. My lfs always has a couple SW rays though. I have a 12gal nano, and right now it is only sporting a Emerald Crab, a Sally Lightfoot, a few Margarita snails and a few hermits.

There are several types of FW rays. Leopards, Motoros, Rectics... I have a Rectic in with a Garra Panda, 8 Cardinals and 3 Neons. He usually munches on the 2 dozen or so ghost shrimp I have in there, or I'll squirt thawed Bloodworms in front of him that he eats up. I took a video of him eating tonight, I'll try to post it tomorrow. I have pix of him up in my gallery if you wanna check him out, with more coming tomorrow.

It sounds like you would have A LOT of fun with a coldwater saltwater tank. Ever been to pacific tidepools? Well, google them and you will see what things you can get. I think you can even get skates.(A kind of ray).
The only problem is that you would have to get a larger tank because most coldwater creatures grow to a more than considerable size, you would have to buy a water chiller, you can't use any LR, and the hardest: Supplies are rare for coldwater tanks. Livestock too. If you live by the Pacific coast at all, you should try to find a retailer of these supplies, or order stuff online.
Here is a link to a blog of a coldwater aquarium>> [Only Registered Users Can See Links.]
Alot of lobster/ray species are also coldwater.
Sorry about the long post. Just wanted to be informative.
If you were at all interested in my really long post which you probably didn't read all of, I have some advice. The aquarium I visit sometimes is along the pacific, and they have nothing but coldwater tanks. They get their water straight from the ocean, cuz they get their stock exactly where they get the water. If you are lucky and live on the west coast, you can probably get water from the ocean. A good filter would be needed though, like one of those canisters.
Once again, sorry for the long post lol.
