Well, since my tank has been up for roughly 2 and a half months, I have been battling with hardness, and high ph.
Currently, my ph is like 7.8 or higher, and my alkalinity is at 300. My hardness is at 75.
I want 6.8 in ph, and 120 on alkalinity. Anyway to reduce this? I have to stop using tap water as that is the source of the problem. RO is too expensive, so I need an alternative. Any ideas?

Ive not personally done it ,but it sounds like filtering through peat is you best shot.

Wow, that's a great idea. Didn't even think of it, but that would be perfect. Thanks!

Yip filtering over peat and rainwater - free and nearly as good as RO water
