I just found a lady that is selling a 55 gallon full hood, lights, heater, filter, and background......and a 30 gallon long with a leopard gecko, heating rock, bowl, carpet, cover and light all for 80 dollars... Needless to say I am outta here when the wife gets home.........Yahtzee!!!!!!!!

I'm putting the gecko in my daughters room in the30 gallon... I will redo his tank though.....

The 55 gallon is getting setup and cycled soon but I'll have to build a stand first............

Man, that is sweet! Just like the deal I found on craigs list. 150 gallon tank for free, just had to replace a glass pane, and seal it. Congrats on the great deal!

Okay the first is the 30 gallon long the leopard gecko is in.... The second is of course him.... The others are the 55 gallon I got.. and the extra 10 gallon I picked up for free...... When I got there she said that when she was moving it it broke... I was like oh no as I drove 66 miles one way to get it. She meant the hood cover... So me and my mischievious mind said huh thats no good. She threw in a free 10 gallon she had sitting there... Yes double yahtzee. I didn't even need the hood covers or lights... I will plant that 55 gallon so I need glass covers for the light.... Trashing those is okey dokey. The only problem is that the tank has some lime deposits... I'll spend tomorrow getting those off with some good old fashioned elbow grease...

I am going to add a second stage for the leopard gecko to climb up onto to bask in the light..... I will post it up in chatterbox when completed if the mods don't mind...... All for $80........ The gecko alone with the heater is worth that.... Then I got 2 new tanks... Yeah!!!!!!!

Great score Jamie. There are a couple of things you will require for your gecko. Get a heat lamp with a 75-100 watt red lamp for basking. The basking light should be on 24/7. They require a basking area. They also require a container where you keep some sort of moistened material (I use a couple of layers of paper towel) where they can crawl into. This will help aid them in shedding their skin. Leave the shed skin in the tank as they eat it for the calcium in the skin. Pick up some calcium powder to dust the crickets as well.
