Does anyone have any information on breeding these fish.
At the moment I have 2 male and 2 female in a 40 gall. tank by themselves and am hoping to breed them.

Hi
Sorry for the late reply. They will most likely breed if you wait provided you have given them the right conditions.

Ie keep them a the Malawi cichlids they are. and provide them with a lot of rocks to hide among, high pH levels (pH 8.0) and hard water. Feed them a avried diet.

I should however inform you that Labidochromis Caeruleus i better keept and breed in groups with several females for every male.

I might be able to give you more advice if you tell me more about your setup.

The tank is filled up with large creek rocks and dried coral with lots of caves and i have a anubius barteri on a log.
The only other tankmate is a bristlenose catfish.
Not to sure about water parameters except that the Ph is around 8.

Ok. that sounds like an okey setup but i would remove the log from your aquarium.

You should never keep logs in Malawi aquariums since they make the water hardness and pH level to drop.
