High Nitrite Levels!

ok so i have my 90L (24G) tank
and this week the nitrite levels have been crazy..

for the last 4 days they have been between 0.8 and 1.. which is really bad news!

my levels last night are

amonia 0.05-0.1
nitrate 10
nitrite 0.8

I have been doing 50% water changes every night for the last week, and have tested my tap water and its fine!

what else can i do to bring it down?

I am testing with all 3 test kits, API Nitrite, Tetra Nitite & the strips, and all 3 agree on the figures!!!!!

looks like your tank (if already cycled) is going through a mini-cycle.

i would lean away from water changes, and get a cholormine/chlorine/amonia eliminator. when you get rid of your amonia, you scary nitrate's and nitrite's will go down faster.

poping to pets @ home tonight to pick up some stuff! any recomendations?

just look for anything that removes amoinia. mine is "jungle" brand, and it works great
