Haha, I payed $950 for my truck. For that cheap, you can't be picky.
my first car was a 1999 outback station wagon, it was my moms and when she got a new car i inherited it for free. after about 250,000 miles it died. so i got my brother's car for free which is now my ford. i am so not picky. but i love my car to pieces. and i wish i had a pick up truck, it would help with my metal sculptures.

lol Actually, this will be the LAST Ford I own, I do believe. It has caused me SO many problems. I'm going for a Honda next....which will hopefully be not too long after I get this one paid off and save up a little money for a down payment. I'm ready for a good, solid car I can rely on.

my first car was a corana and she was an 1985 4 cyclinder manual, then i went another magna this one was a 1986 auto of all things, and i hate it, i just love my now car so much nicer with power to burn, the auto went through 3 gear boxes and i got the willys with it and gave it away,

this girl has had a new back end put on it, since i bought it for $2000 2 yrs ago, i had a lady go straight up my butt in a school zone she it me that hard my eldest had whip lash, and the bumper what bumper it didnt exisit, i went to report it to the cops and asked them to have a look to let me know if it was still road worthy, lucky for me it was, LOL i got $3,500 out of her on damages, and fixed the car myself for $1,500 and had money to spend on fish which was what i did LOL

I did have a 2000 Mustang GT with a lovely 4.6L V8 and 260hp but I (unfortunatly) traded it in for a 2007 VW Golf 4, mainly becuase of the fuel mileage, but once you've had a Mustang, there simply no substitute so the Golf will be traded in next year for a new Mustang, of course with the V8 ...

Mine is a dark blue 2004 Hyundai Sonata LX. Mine looks like the one in the pic except obviously it is, like I said, dark blue, I have a sunroof and leather seats. The only thing different from stock is the middle console that I painted deep metallic blue to match the rest of the car. Well, the sound system isn't at all stock, but it is a stealth install. I built the sub in the trunk.

My FIRST car was a 1989 Delta 88 Oldsmobile. I got it free from a friend of my moms. It was in pretty good condition. All of my friends called it the pimpmobile, despite it not even slightly resembling a Cadillac.

Here is a pic of what it looked like, I had it in grey though:

I drove it for MAYBE 250 miles before the alternator blew, and a few other things went wrong. I got it for free, and then sold it busted for $300. Not a bad trade, eh?

resurrecting this from the dead for new members. i can grab some pics tomorrow, its supposed to warm up a bit so i can make a trip to the car wash

ive still got the '92 maxima from my old posting. i installed a new JVC deck, wired it up with a crunch amp and pioneer 12" sub. got a nicer exhaust thrown on, aftermarket fog lights, speakers, and ultrawhite headlights, lowered it a bit, and did a few performance mods so its crazy fast. no NOS though, stock engine cant handle even a 50 shot and i dont want to upgrade anymore

it has 400,050km on it and will last a few more years. if i decide to get another 1992 nissan maxima, i'll get a body kit on my current one and swap it over after. if i decide to get a nissan skyline or 1999 maxima after, it would just be a waste of money to get a body kit

LOL just out of curiosity why dont you like the jeep? ive never driven one just wondering

Lets see. Basically it's my anti-corvette.
-Gas millage=12mpg
-coldest/hottest vehicle ever depending on the weather.
-the mirrors move when you shut the door and they aren't electronic
-the windows don't open b/c zippers don't work.(stupid design having them make 90degree angles as a zipper should only go in a straight line)
-All 4 speakers are blown and i don't know how since the stereo is super weak.
-the roof is the hardest thing to get on once it's off.
-it handles and drives like a brick with wheels
-it's so light that it isn't any good even with 4x4 in bad weather...maybe mudding but who actually does that that often?
-for a 4.0L engine it has almost zero power(tops out at 100mpg)

Lol i could go on but you get the point.

lol, someone on another forum was the first to mention my rear speakers

long story short, old car, nissan never designed for the rear speakers to come out back then. took superman to rip out the stock ones, and i bought the aftermarkets and the hole for them is too small on the car and metal blocks the hole so i cant extend it. until i buy a new car, i dont give a dam how ghetto they look.

at least i didnt take a picture of the other side of the car, lost a hubcap drifting and never found it. might switch out the rims soon and i'll have to get a pic of the back of the car

Neither of my gas gauges work correctly, so I don't know how much I'm burning ever... although the Lincoln's Trip Minder(tm) tells me I've been averaging 19mpg, does a lot better in summer (21-22, we got 26 out of it once!) Now for a 2 liter striate 4 twin turbo producing a 280 HP, that to me is amazing. And considering Dads 2003 Holden 3.8lt v6 only has 209 HP.

For some reason mum thinks spending $10,000.00 NZ on just a car to star at is stupid. But for me it was the best car Subaru came out with in the 1999 and had the most power for the Legacy even up to now.

As for the Caldina I just like boy racing station wagons. And it is Toyota, and the cops in NZ don't tend to bother you much in Toyotas.thumbs2:

Gets better mileage than my old Chevy Corsica with the same size engine and the Corsica is considered a commuter car, but its a major piecer car IMO, there's a reason they only made it for like 4 or 6 years. Meh, cant upload the pic of my yota, gotta link it... [Only Registered Users Can See Links.]

He's my riding horse. Although he's quite easy-going, if you can ride, you can ride him. I wouldn't let a beginner on him though, he might get a little flustered if he was trying to figure out too many conflicting 'signals'.

He's scared of llamas too...

Well, you could have offered to buy the farm...heh heh heh...

I got my ride for a SWEET deal.

I paid a 25 cent full-payment and rode out of the lot seconds later. I'm always skeptical about buying used, but the warranty allows me to return it at any time, for any reason, and ride out in an exchange. Then I can either keep the new exchange at no additional cost, or come back for the original after it's been repaired, or I can get my quarter back.

They also offer this model with optional spinning rims.

I got 3 out of 4.

But the real bragging rights are in the safety features.

You may notice the roll cage, it comes standard.

Air bags can be purchased from the dealer for about 5 cents each, and can be assembled with a bicycle pump. They're tie on, so installation is a snap!

So without further hesitation, I give you my car...

I pay 150 bucks a tank full. I glad its only got a 6.

For me it cost a $100. NZ to fill up from empty. 50 liter tank.

For fuel I think it is a $1.57 a liter for 98, and a $1.47 for 91. And $1.00 for diesel [plus GST, Government sanctioned theft, and road tax on diesel cars.].

If things are right converted to US $$ it should be about 50-70 c US a liter.

For me I do about 35 MPG in my car in town and 40 on the highway. But I tend to be lead foot and get 30 in town, and 35 on thw high way.

yeah, my maxima is only about 180hp, for some reason the special editions were made for 200hp.

wish i could know when mine is going to die. 400,000km but the previous guy said they were mostly highway km, and ive only put less than 10,000km on it. if i knew it would last to at least 550,000km i would paint it and get a body kit right now, and hope in the meantime i win the lottery and can switch out the motor and tranny and get everything in it new again. if its going to die by 425,000km, theres no sense in putting more work into it

however, a few people i know have the same km as me and theyres still putting on body kits and everything. that $2000 would get me into a skyline GT-R or a '99 maxima that much faster though

The ferry route was on the map but it still kept telling me to turn around and drive back to the terminal until I got close enough to the other side. i think i need a update. i was helping a guy do reno's a few weeks ago half a hour away, and i needed to get a studfinder from home depot. he said there was one by the wal-mart a few minutes away. for fun i typed it into my GPS and it said there was one even close. hit it, and it took me to a friggin 7-11. got fed up, took the second option which i figured was the right one by the wal-mart

tuesday i can get the rims thrown on. on a forum, ive had about 5 people say they should fit, 1 person said no. the guy that said no got served by another guy after so i think they'll fit

i did a epic fail too. stopped at DQ before i went to work, and i put the pepsi in the cars cupholder. its a piece of crap thin plastic holder that goes ontop of the pullout cubby, and i dont know if cups are a different size in Japan or what but no drinks properly fit it.

just drove away, hit a bump, and the pepsi caught air. went to do a matrix grab, missed and ended up bumping into neutral. yelled some 4 letter words, pulled over, in the meantime seeing tidle waves of pepsi on the passenger side floor. most of it went on the floor carpet, only the outer edges of the actual carpet got hit. new floor carpets tomorrow i guess

I feel the cup holder pain... I drive a freakin' Lincoln and my cupholders don't hold anything! They're flimsy plastic flip out things that have gimbles to keep your drink level, but they're so shallow all they do is tip things over. Plus they're positioned directly over the window and mirror switches... I've spilled so much crap on them and somehow they still work. I don't know why Ford made them that way for 8 years without changing the design...

i have to get a pic of mine, its a design fail. the cubby itself is like 2.5" deep, and the cupholders just pull out from on top and sit on it. one cupholder is monstrous and one is tiny. you could probably only fit a red bull in the small one, and the big one is too big for medium fast food cups, but too small for large ones.

cocoa_pleco

rofl i regret going to canadian tire

it was useless. first problem is i need some new special bolts for the new rims, but thats no problem, i can get them. they said the eclipse's wont fit. all they did was not even lift the car, just throw the eclipse ones beside the car. the eclipse ones are the EXACT same measurements as my current stock ones, so they cant rub. they said they probably wont fit, and just showed the eclipse ones by the car. the bolt pattern is like 3" lower when you put them flat on the ground, so of course without lifting the car, it looks like it will rub. once theyre on theres 3-4" extra room, theres no way they will rub

they just told me to get the new bolts and go to tirecraft, so thats what im going to do. i threw some racing tires on the eclipse rims, so in may when the snows gone i'll get them balanced and thrown on by tirecraft who specializes in imports (unlike canadian tire who seems to favor domestics) and when snow comes in november, just throw my stock rims with all-season's on

lol, almost 6 months later. the problem with the wheels was my lugs were too short, went to get longer ones installed and sure enough theres something weird on the rims that only Mitsu's have, so i'm just selling them for what i bought them for

I blew my car on a touge here a while ago, it started clunking on sharp turns and one of my axle boots got lost, the grease on my axle got infected from water so i have to spring for a whole new axle and everything, i get it back today so its nothing huge

i'll have to throw up some new pics tomorrow, i took all the dents, rust, scratches, etc. off. The only thing not in again yet is my Sparco seats, i was worried about getting paint on them fixing the rust

It's now running awesome and is waiting for body work. I had to replace the headlights because the old ones were held on with silicone and wood screws... it was a work vehicle and it shows. I have a new grille and hood (Ford "powerdome" fiberglass hood and grille, they came on 4x4 models) and a gallon of silver paint, just waiting on body work (working out of a body shop = free labor but long wait times) I also stripped and painted the aluminum rims, they're off an 80's Ranger.
