whats the breeding pattern with clowns?,ive got 4 but its only two that are doing this, there behaving like oscars and lip locking or somthing similar but it is all mouth contact and there changing colour the black stripes are going greyish, ive not seen this behaviour before, there normally all together with no problems and ive had them for nearly a year,is this the start of breeding?

There has never been any authenticated confirmed clown loach breeding in captivity. So it is a mystery how they breed or what will set them off in breeding. There was one case a few years ago but ended up being falsley claimed. If it could be discovered you could make a mint.

Sorry Angelcakes but your fish are fighting or sorting out there order not "getting it on".

The alpha loach will be darker striped and the greyer ones will be subordinate to that one. Its nothing to worry about, its just fish being fish but thats as long as they have plenty of room and food, they do seem to stress easily. Mine do it from time to time, especially the larger ones, especially when food becomes available, hehe
