View Full Version : In Memorandum Hook

A few minutes ago I had to do the most awful thing I know as a Fishkeeper...

I had to "euthanize" one of my animals. And if this isnt bad enough, I had to do it to a fish with a name, which makes things even worse...

Believe me afterwards I was on the brink to through up. And I will feel like a murderer for some days to come.

I am talking about a Firemouth male called "Hook". He really was a great guy, who fathered lots of babies and really gave me jolly good times. But before he had to die a long agonizing death, I made it quick. He already was in such a shape I didnt need to net him, I did it with my hand, and there was no resistance at all.

Oh man I really feel so lousy....

Sorry to hear about Hook, NG. I know how you feel. I had to put my Betta Skarloey down just a couple weeks ago. It made me very sad but it was for the best. I'm sure you did the right thing too.

R.I.P. Hook
