With the 20g under the 29g idead not going to happen, I'm going to connect the 10g and the 29g. The 10g sits a little higher then the 29g, so now the pump will have to go in 29g. Will this change force me to make any changes to the setup? Two questions about overflow box: Do I really need one? If so, do I attach the tank with the pump or the tank without the pump?

I won't start setting this up for at least another week. Spring break starts in a week. I will hopefully have a pump by then. Anymore help I can get on this matter is greatly appreciated.

Any reason for a sump on a tank that small? Usually sumps are used for larger tanks like 300 + gallons......

Mainly to help my keep the 10g more stable... and plans to possible allow the fish to go between tanks, but not for awhile.

Edit: Its not exactly a sump. Its just more of the two tanks sharing water.
