someone here is selling a 20g high established reef, and everything is pick 'n choose

http://edmonton.kijiji.ca/c-pets-other-pets-for-sale-GREAT-STARTER-SALT-WATER-TANK-or-just-fish-live-rock-W0QQAdIdZ39914795

they said the wavemaker was $20, which seems like a good deal, so if i can get the skimmer theyre selling too i will make my 20g high a nanoreef, 25lbs LR, 20lbs live sand, and fill it with RO water from the start (screwed that up on the 55g) lighting will be a 150w MH, and stock will be corals and a pair of clowns. i have a 24" 2x24w HO 50/50 laying around so i will use that for a few months

one question, what are wavemakers+what do they do? ive never used them. since they dont have powerheads listed on the ad i would think wavemakers give off current like waves, am i right?

thanks

Well, they make waves...you don't need one unless you have a large tank...say 240 g or so...in smaller tanks the powerheads create enough waves...

wavemakers are for huge tanks.... Some larger fish prefer a rocking motion to simulate natural reef activity but like Rue said 200 gallons plus. That is alot of things for sale.... Man I have trouble finding anything down here.... Although I found a guy selling a 125 gallon tank for 100 dollars... I might grab that.. It is just the tank though...
