So I've decided to set up my 10 gallon as a terrarium. I'm not sure what I want in it, but I know how I want to set it up. (see pics, which are not in scale)

I have most of the materials, including the filter, driftwood, etc, lying around.

So, with this setup, what could I put in it that would be happy. Keep in mind its 10 gallons.

Also, waht should I use for the gravel and stuff. I was thinking sand bottom, then larger gravel, and then peat moss or something else for the top layer. I mgiht put live spaghnum on top, too, when I can get it. A little frozen around these times.

Also, I might put a few CP's (carnivourous plants) in it as well. Not that this will affect anything.

The best thing for you to do is figure out a couple of different species of repitle or amphib you might be interested in keeping and do a google search on it's care sheet. ie "leopard gecko care sheet" and go from there. The care sheets will give you all the information you require for a specific reptile. Their feeding requirements, daily, nightly, basking temps. Humidity, substrate etc.

Yeah but this is a humid environment, leopard geckos prefer desert environments. Thanks for the input though.

I was thinking of a pacman frog. But I want something that will use both the land and water.

Frogs will definitly do well in your terrarium. Especially African Dwarfs.

I need to get a water pump. Turns out filters aren't very air tight, haha. A little pump won't cost too much. Pics will be up when I set it up!

repto filters??? If so they are great. I have one in my fiddler tank and you just have to have enough water to cover the intake slits and the water fall is good and strong.

Carnivorous plants DO NOT like terrariums. It is a myth that they need humitity. It can actually rot their leaves. They only type I would attempt at all would be nepenthes species. But I would leave them alone if I were you.

Thats what I was going to put in. I've been growing CP's for 8 years, lol, don't worry.
