I have a 10g with 2:4 guppies that I currently have at a salinity level of 1.5tbsp/10g as a treatment for ich. Considering that guppies do okay in brackish waters, I am considering level the salt level where it is just as a preventative and also I am looking into getting some bumblebee gobies and I heard they do better in brackish water.
So my question to you fine folks is this:
Can shrimp do okay at this level of salt in the water?
I was hoping to buy either some ghost shrimp or bamboo shrimp, but if they do not tolerate any amount of salinity, then I will rethink my stocking ideas (maybe ditch the goby thoughts, rid the tank of salt and buy the shrimp).
Also, if there are any species of shrimp that do better in brackish, that would be good to know, versus those that are more intolerant of it.
Thanks!
