another award suggestion

how about an award for the person who gives out the most rep pionts?

i am wondering what the thoughts would be on this

so pretty much opposite to the award for getting a certain level, but for giving them out

i meant an award for giving rep pionts

for example if you gave say henry 100 rep pionts then you should be able to request an award from william,
just like blogging, threads etc

That would turn into a rep point giving frenzy. There would be rep points handed out for frivolous reasons and posts. The only way it would work is if the rep points you wanted to give out for a certain post or response were pre approved by William or a mod and they have enough on their plates as it is.

If there was an award for giving reps, many people would give them just to get an award, and the reps themselves would be meaningless. The whole point of reps is to give to people who give good advice, not to get awards.

That would flood the forum with rep points and take away from the meaning of them.... I think the rep awards should be more evenly spaced but one for giving rep would turn into the rep system no longer working.......
