hi all,
well if i am right when you buy fish (mollies) at the store they are in freashwater tanks well i have salt in my mollies tank what should i do to get the new molly from the store ready for the salt. you cant just put her/he strat in can you.

I would drip acclimate the new mollies into the tank. Adding just a little of your aquarium water to the bag, and waiting for a bit. Then do it again, until they fully acclimate to the salt.
Mollies are pretty forgiving. They can handle just about anything. As long as they have time to adjust.

i have done this before. if your salinity is really low (low-end brackish) you can usually just put them right in......but to be safe it's best to slowly acclimate them to the salt water. doesn't take too long to do and is easier on the fish
