missing condy

yesterday i added a large condy anemone to my tank, towards the back and on top of the LR.

this morning i cant find him anywhere, i checked the back of the tank and everything, do they hide?

The condy could be underneath one of your slab rocks, or upside-down. I don't know anything about condies, so :22:

I had an anenome hide down inside the live rock in my bio cube for about a week. It took a while before it decided where it wanted to stay put.

Yes, they can also 'shrink' quite small.

If he's recovering - he'll emerge eventually.

What you need to worry about is if it got stuck in the intake or overflow or somewhere like that. Mine did that 2 X...the second time it ripped in 2.

I didn't think either half would make it, but they're both fine (and rehomed!).

However, IF they die, they can release a toxin into the tank - that's what you need to worry about the most.

He is probably hiding Cocoa.... I'd imagine he will come out when he is ready. They will recede into hiding if they aren't ready..

just got home, he was hiding this morning, hes a good one since i looked a hour this morning for him. hes out wide open on the LR now

the store forgot to tell me when he was last fed, but anyways im gonna feed him now since ive found him
