Electric eel

Ok im not sure around the world but im almost 100% sure i cant get one in AUS like most other cool fish, but are these available in the fish trade, i was watching an episode of wildboys and it showed one and i thought it was pretty cool along with other amazonian electric fish

Ive never seen or heard of anyone having one... but im sure there is an exception somewhere

i've never seen one sold but I think it would be cool to have one, other than it would be the only fish kept in a giant tank

I dont think they would be sold as pets but Im sure you can get your hands on them if you get a permit and other stuff.

electric eels are illegal in a handful of states here but there are various importers who sell them(could i post the names or would that be advertising)
