I really don't have much of a clue what I'm doing. I did try to put the larger leaf plants at the outer corners so they'd get more natural light too, but, as noted below, I am going to be upgrading my lights in the next week. I know the 30w for a 44g tank is too low.
I did get a glass canopy today and I can tell a lot more natural light is getting in as well.

OK - here's what I have so far. Have at it, but be gentle, please. :ezpi_wink1:

Tank Stats
-------------------
Size of Tank: 44g
Running for how long: 1 wk

Water Params
-------------------
Temp: 78-80
CO2 (Type & Level): no
Substrate: Eco-Complete

Lighting (Wattage & type of bulbs):
-------------------
2 x 15w aqua-glo - upgrading in the next week! (Yes, I'm FULLY ADDICTED now!)

Fish In Tank:
-------------------
5 zebra danio

Plants In Tank:
-------------------
shown on diagram

Nice looking tank. I want one! LOL I just don't have the room for it. I will have to stay with my 37 gallon. Nice diagram too. Don't even know where to begin to do something like that. All I can do is wing it, and stick plants here or there, and hope for the best.

Good that you are getting better lighting. I need that too. My spectrums are all off. Need to switch bulbs.

Great job!!!

Looks good. You may want to try diy co2 though. It actually pretty easy to set up.

that is a very neat looking setup you have there,it will make an awesome planted tank.A big school of cardinal tetra would look great in there.

Thanks everyone! I guess for my first go, it isn't too shabby.

The cryps have straightened up a lot since I took the picture. I wasn't sure how they were supposed to look! LOL

Honestly, I haven't decided what fish I'm going to put in there.

RE java moss - I'm kind of scared by it! It sounds like it can really take over a tank - When I get better lighting, I might look at some moss that isn't as invasive to put on the log.
