View Full Version : Auxin aka plant hormone....can it be used in an aquatic environment?

I remember taking plant biology a few years ago and learned about auxin which if added to the top of a plant(terminal bud) would make it so ALL the extra buds(auxiliary buds) would start growing allowing the plant to become extremely bushy..

I wonder if there is a way to do that for aquatic plants?....

I'm reading the link i posted above and it's starting to come back to me.

I think auxin prevents the growth of the extra buds which is why removing the termanal bud lets the auxiliary ones to start growing.

But they also said something about cytokinins which might be the opposite of auxin... but i'm still trying to remember.
