What have I here?

This little guy appeared in our tanks one day. No one is sure where he came from. I've not been able to identify him myself. Any help?

Looks like a rosy barb to me what is his colour

I have rosy barbs and they donot look like the fish in the picture, but definitely some kind of barb though. may be its tin foil barb?

Nothing like any of the Rosy or Tinfoil Barbs we have already. He's pretty much a general brown/grey colour with black spots along his body. Actually his colour is very much like a Leopard Danio, though I know he isn't one. And he's not quite an inch long right now.

EDIT: Although now that you mention it, he does hold some similarities to our Rosies. If he is I suppose he's very young.

definitely not a minnow. he is a barb or possibly a tetra. lemme see if i can find anything similar to him on the web
