I have some lilaeopsis, and some amazon swords...they have been doing pretty well for about two months now with some decent lighting. They are rooted in the sand substrate, yet I am wondering if there is any need for a fertilizer? I am using tetra plant fert. at the moment, any other suggestions?

i agree with above iron, which i think you can get in forms such as tablets or liquid or a specialised flower booster thats high in iron,thumbs2:

Use seachem flourish tabs stuck in the sand right at the plant. And yes the liquid you are using is good as well,it contains iron and pottasium,2 of the things that sword need lots of,however swords are heavy root feeders and the tabs will do them wonders.

Seachem fluorish is a great fert. Supplement with Fluorish tabs, that you can stick into the gravel.
