is it a problem? If yes, what can we do to control it?

Here's a decent read about algae.

It is usually just an estetic problem.
for that excellent information. Thanks also to william for helping me out (as always) and giving me information. I think I will not have to do much about the algae at the moment as it isn't too bad. Are corys algae- eating? I have a leopard cory but will it control the algae growth if they DO eat algae? Will I need more?

Coreys are bottom eaters but I don't know as they do much with algae. You probably need a catfish......maybe a bristle nose or something like that as they remain smaller than those pleco's.
I have little problems with algae but I just wipe the inside down on clean up day with a sponge used for only that purpose.
