This is a bare bottom tank where we let platy fry grow out when we catch them. Admittedly, sometimes we get soooooo many we leave them to fend for themselves, which is exactly what happened with the fry pictured in my POTM submission. I apologize for the "noise" in the pic, but the tank sits on our dresser and there is a mirror behind it.

Here is a great shot of the demasoni fry that are sharing the tank with the platy

Last but not least is my daughter's 5 gal betta tank that I just recently added 3 panda cory's to. Before anyone gets uptight.....I realize this may be overcrowding a little, but I have had great luck with this tank,(the biofilter is AWESOME) plan on watching my parameters very closely, and at the first sign that it will be too much, they will be rehomed into another tank.

A betta and 3 cory's should be fine in there.

The 5 gallon should be fine. Like you said just watch your parameters and do those water changes. lol. Tanks look great!

Like I said...this tank is awesome...a 5 gal bowfront eclipse corner job. Didn't know jack about biofilters and all of the other interesting things I have since learned. I have overstocked pretty badly in the past....used it to separate misbehaving fish and tried several different species before settling on the betta. The ONLY issue I had was ick on the white skirt tetras (probably stress due to being too small of a tank) and it cleared up immediately with a water change and stress coat....never to return. The decor is kinda cheesy (it does TECHNICALLY belong to a 4 year old after all) but as small tanks go I have nothing but good to say about it. So far, the 29 gal eclipse is following in it's footsteps :)

Hope everything keeps going well for you. I have a little ick in my 55 gal. I am waiting to see how the Quick Cure i used works out

Good luck with the ick...I have heard horror stories about recurring ick cases and knock on wood am glad I haven't had that problem! Unless heat/water changes/stresscoat didn't work for me in the future I wouldn't consider using ick medicine since the above has worked for me so far. If it is just luck I hope my luck holds!

Yea, i have the tank at about 80 and am waiting to see how everything turns out. Thanks. If it happens again i might try the stresscoat

100gw, If none of your fish mind, up the temp closer to 82.
And isn't it nice when your tanks are easy to take care of? I mean for the last three weeks it seems as if I haven't touch a single thing in my tanks ;)

I love it now that things usually are going off without a hitch....my biggest problem is the aquaclear HOB filter that came with my 10 gal puff tank...just about everytime I shut it off to do anything now the impeller sticks and it has to be fiddled with to get everything back in place and properly working. And although most of my tanks need more decor to fill up the top areas I still think they look great....always sparkling and healthy inhabitants.
