i posted a thread about this a while ago, but no one seem to know what it was so i am starting a new one cos i really am confused by this.
there are tiny 1mm white spots in my tank, on my plants, on the glass, on the driftwood everywhere. sometimes they are in groups, sometimes it is just one. there must be a few hundred in there by this point. they are flat on the back and rounded in the front. and the old ones haven't hatch or moved.
so please if you have any idea what this might be let me know.
i am thinking it might be from these snails i got from aqauticplantdepot.com, they claimed they were going to send me purple mystery snails, and what i got were some brown snails with intense small black patterns all over their food and shells.
or maybe from my fresh water clams/mussels.
help!:help:

i think the snails you have got in your tank may be zebra snails from how you describe them , i also have the same snails in my tanks.and yes the little white spots are with out a dought eggs as i have seen them for my self.good look in trying to get them off the side of the tank i think they must use super glue to bond them with.but the good news for you is people like me paid a pound per snail .thats right i have mug stamped on my head.

unfortunately they are not what you had suggested, i was hoping there were cos i really want an answer to this conundrum. they are sort of similar, but the pattern is like 100x condensed, thats i guess what i meant by 'intensely patterned'. i am looking up some snails to find a similar looking one.
these spots have spread quite rapidly and i am a bit concerned. please ed, dave, drum help!

alrighty so i solved my problem. i found the culprits. i thought it was my snails, so i relocated them to my 3g and caught them in the act. with pictures.
here you go. if anyone knows what type of snails they are let me know.
having some issues with resizing, so i will post some pics in another post once they get sorted out, but these are the snails.
