Spawning

When cherry barbs spawn will they spawn all they're eggs at once until very slim or can they only release not so many eggs and get slimmer but still be fat?

They are multi eye layers tolley. They usually lay a couple at a time until they lay 300 or so...... couple at a time equals around 3 or so..... It is common.....

i put her in the community tank and she looks the same as the other fat female jus a bit overally bigger which she is.

Basically she has gone from 'Super Fat Female' to 'Regular Fat Female'.

Am i just mis informed that if she did lay her eggs she would completely slim down?

She probably did lay eggs. Species like that usually lay eggs in the main tank, but of course they get eaten. In my experience with egg layers, the female didnt come out completely "slim". In fact, I didnt think she spawned at all. But I found fry 2 days later.

I agree with ed here it is not going to be a significant loss like what you would see in a human.. You'll notice a slight decline but nothing drastic...
