hello everyone...i was wondering what the male female ratio for breeding paradise fish is? i only have one of each at the moment..

what about water quality? ph? gh? temp? ect.

are there any triggers for spawning?

thanks!

I suppose it won't be too much different from breeding any other gourami. Lower the water level to about 6 inches. Either have a half styrofoam cup attached to the glass or some floating plants that the male can use to build the nest.

I think it is suggested that you try to feed them some live foods will help get them in the mood.. but I'm not entirely sure about that.

I don't think it would hurt to get another female.

Good luck

If they spawn... and your male gets aggresive over the female, you may want to move her to you 20g to avoid injuries.

Hope you can make them spawn, all anabantoids get prettier when doing so. It's quite a dance the one they do.
