sorry for my bad english but I'm from Italy... Today I received a pair of piranas but I don't know what kind of piranha are... may you help me? thank you very very much!

They look like young Serrasalmus compressus but are more likely Pygocentrus nattereri as they are more available..

It is hard to tell with young Piranha as they all look very similar when they are young.

Sono d'accordo col sopra su questo, somigliano al nattereri di Pygocentrus, e poiché l'altro tipo è duro per trovarlo il wold il nattereri di Pygocentrus probabile. Sempre fare ricerche su tutto gli acquisti di pesce prima di comprare loro. Non assicurarla sa che lei fa, il piranhas sono il pesce facile. Come grande è il suo acquario?

L'acquario era il cycled prima che lei ha aggiunto il pesce? Anche che lei loro nutre? Il Piranha sono il pesce molto difficile, se sono il nostro primo pesce raccomando per portare loro sostengono l'il negozio lei loro ha comprato i in.loro hanno bisogno dei gruppi di almeno 6 e hanno bisogno di almeno 500 litri.

Da che la parte di Italia la sono? La mia famiglia viene da intorno Trieste.

Hi! I'm from Rome! ;-)
the Shopkeeper who sold me the piranhas (are 4, and I named them john, paul, george and ringo!) tell me that are vetetarians but thy eat only chicken and cow meat!!! so I think that are serrasalmus nattereri and he don't know it! because they were with other fishes in the same acquarium!!
they are very timid and small (5 cm), the acquarium is 200 lt and the water is at 25 C°... thank you!

Well piranha can grow fast. I recommend either bringing them back or getting a bigger tank. At that size you can feed them carnivore pellets and bloodworms, with some fish fillets.

Was the tank cycled before you added them?
