View Full Version : Hole in the head and ick

one of my oscars has developed a small whole in the side of her head and i am now seeing ick spots on her. i am treating with quick cure i have raised the temp. and i added some salt and i am cleaning the gravel daily. is there anything else i can do to keep her from dying? can i seperate her in to another tank so she doesnt infect the other animals in the tank?

Oscars are unfortunately prune to hole in the head which is hard to cure. I am not familiar with quick cure, is it suppose to work on hole in the head? If not I suggest you get an hole in the head med. They can be expensive but as it still seems like you are in an early stage of the disease you should have decent chance of curing it.

I have a small outbreak of ick in my tank. Thanks for the link hobbs. I think ill go get some quick cure later on today. I noticed the outbreak last night and there are just two spots on my Oscar, and there only appears to be one spot on one of my smaller SD's. They should be alright for a day or so right??
